I was initially inspired to become a photographer after receiving a book on the legendary photographer Bill Brandt, who worked from the 1920's, through the war years and on, for many publications including Picture Post. I graduated with honours from university when darkrooms and chemicals were still very much part of the industry. I have worked through the transition from film to digital knowing much about darkroom techniques and working with medium and large format cameras. After graduation, I assisted in still life studios but quickly changed direction, choosing instead to work with location advertising photographers. I established my own business just after the millennium and have built up my own customer base over the last two decades, which sees me travel throughout Europe and farther afield.
I currently live in Barcelona, traveling frequently to the Balearic Islands, specialising in social documentary photography. I also dedicate time to an expanding personal project which dovetails into commissioned documentary style photography. - events which bring people 'together in celebration'.
